A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Several special tests may be performed in the triaxial apparatus. These include K0‐tests, extension tests, tests on unsaturated soils, tests on frozen soils, tests to determine time effects and hydraulic conductivity, and bender element tests. Each of these tests is described and their characteristics are discussed.
