Groundwater quality management requires knowledge of the quantitative features of aquifers, present and anticipated demands for water usage from aquifers, natural sources of groundwater pollution, manmade sources of actual or potential groundwater pollution, modeling to determine the influence of water usage and pollution sources on available water quantity and quality, and institutional arrangements for regulation and control.
