Go to Letter: Lead and Copper Rule Revisions Proposed
Regulations for lead and copper were promulgated by the US Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) June 7, 1991. On April 12, 1996, the agency proposed minor revisions to these regulations in order to streamline implementation and reduce reporting burdens. The proposed changes do not affect basic regulatory requirements but are intended to make implementation easier and to reduce costs. The notice also requested comment on several measures that the agency is considering to further ease the implementation burden. The proposed revisions are reviewed in this paper.
