Single‐Use Technology in Biopharmaceutical Manufacture and Beyond
COVID‐19 has accelerated the steadily growing demand for single‐use devices in bioprocessing. A recently published study shows single‐use equipment dominates small‐ and mid‐scale bioprocessing and starting to graduate to adoption for larger scale commercial manufacturing. With advancing technology, knowledge, adoption and experience, future progress and market expansion are expected. The demand for rapid production due to COVID‐19 has virtually mandated the use of single‐use system devices.
