Monitoring Chlorine Residuals
In this letter, White comments that the conclusions reported by Ram and Malley in “Chlorine Residual Monitoring in the Presence of Norganic Compounds” (Journal AWWA, September 1984) may be misleading to operators at wastewater or reclaimed water plants. Ram responds that the study was designed to evaluate the monitoring of free available chlorine residuals in drinking water rather than wastewater or reclaimed wastewater.
