This article discusses the final Consumer Confidence Report (CCR) Rule, which ties together several aspects of the amendments to the 1996 Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) that are intended to provide consumers with more information about drinking water. Topics discussed include: key CCR compliance dates; content specification; delivery and record‐keeping requirements; required information for the CCR; estimated compliance costs; and, compliance tools. A CCR compliance checklist is also provided.
