Application of Copper Oxide‐Based Catalysts in Advanced Oxidation Processes
Catalyst‐related concepts, like activity, selectivity and stability, as well as their preparation considerations, such as production simplicity and cost, availability, environmental suitability, nontoxicity and recycling capability, are among the most important issues in catalyst selection that should be carefully taken into account. In recent years, copper oxide‐based catalysts have received considerable attention and have been widely used to enhance the performance of advanced oxidation processes (AOPs). In this chapter, a brief overview of catalytic AOPs, recent advances in copper oxide‐based catalysts, literature review of application of copper oxide‐based catalysts in AOPs, and future perspectives are discussed.
