Advances in Electrospinning Technique in the Manufacturing Process of Nanofibrous Materials
Nanofibrous materials have been manufactured by the electrospinning technique due to their ease of production, potential application in various sectors and versatility, capable of producing continuous membranes at low cost and with relatively uniform fiber diameter. Electrospinnable nanofibers excel in a variety of fields, such as drug delivery, filtration, biosensors, arrangements may be modified concerning the number and positions of syringes, and static or dynamic collector, die systems. The variation of electrospinning parameters can modify the morphology and tissue engineering depending on the application and properties of interest, the experimental and composition of nanofibers, affecting the diameter, conductivity, molecular weight, and number of beads. In this sense, this chapter brings the new trends in the fabrication process of nanofibers materials by the technique of electrospinning, addressing how the effects of the parameters influence the structure and morphological characteristics of nanofibers.
