Measurement of Suspended Matter in Stream Water
This article provides a general review of present measuring methods of suspended matter in stream water. A brief overview is presented of the relationship between suspended matter and the general conditions of stream water. The methods of determination discussed include: determination of its optical properties through light absorption and light‐scattering methods; its physical properties of settleability, particle size, and filtrability; and, its chemical properties through inorganic and organic methods of analysis.
