Seventh‐Year Review of the Safety Program for the First‐Level Supervisor
This article reviews the seven points of the original safety program developed in 1955 for the first‐level supervisor in the water distribution division of the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power. The seven points include: weekly safety meetings; five district safety meetings a year; job instruction for new employees; discussing an accident; committee review of accidents; crew accident records; and, safety awards. Results of the program are discussed.
