Emergency preparedness for drinking water and wastewater systems
This article gives an overview of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (USEPA's) Water Security Division (WSD) whose mission is to provide national leadership to the water sector in developing and promoting security practices that enhance the water sector's ability to prevent, detect, respond to, and recover from natural or human‐caused emergencies. The article focuses on how USEPA is supporting the water sector to be better prepared and reduce the effect on public health, the environment, and the economy should an incident ever occur.
