This article states that the mission of the Inorganic Contaminants Committee (ICC) of the Water Quality & Technology Division of AWWA is to provide AWWA members with useful information on the occurrence, identification, and removal of inorganic contaminants from drinking water supplies. The article provides a brief overview of the emerging inorganic contaminants facing the drinking water community along with the activities that are or will be undertaken by the ICC to help utilities deal with these contaminants.
