Top‐ and Seat‐Angle with Double Web‐Angle (TSADWA) Connections
This chapter presents a validation of the component‐based finite element method (CBFEM) results obtained from the IDEA StatiCa software for top‐and seat‐angle with double web‐angle (TSADWA) steel connection. This validation process involves a comparison with the experimental data, the AISC traditional calculation used in US practice according to the AISC Specification (2016) and the AISC Manual (2017), and the traditional FEA approach using ABAQUS software.
