Robust ICSs Critical for Guarding Against Cyber Threats
This article provides information about resources and services made available by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to help strengthen water/wastewater utilities security programs. The DHS National Cyber Security Division established the control systems security program (CSSP) to guide a cohesive effort between government and industry to improve the security posture of industrial control systems (ICSs), such as the supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems, within the nation's critical infrastructure. CSSP‐sponsored training opportunities are discussed, along with informational products, Water Information Sharing and Analysis Center (WaterISAC), the ICS Cyber Emergency Response Team (ICS‐CERT), and opportunities for community involvement through the ICS Joint Working Group (ICSJWG).
