Delivering an energy‐efficient and sustainable building
Bringing together all the professionals in the construction of an energy efficient and sustainable building requires good co‐ordination and project management, of both people and the construction logistics and process itself. Using established tools such as BREEAM to gain the maximum opportunity for the sustainable construction and on‐going operation of the building can be undertaken, as well as making sure to examine all the sources of materials and where the energy is being supplied and sourced from. All of this can be integrated with the BIM process and extending the process beyond the building envelope, to help create sustainable communities.
