A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Sometimes it is wise to listen to your own advice. I have spent a significant amount of time over the past year talking about lead in water, how it gets there, what utilities are doing to protect their customers, and what customers can do if they have concerns. And then it occurred to me that I had no idea if there was lead in my family's drinking water. So I did what I have suggested, over and over, to others – I called my water utility. Turns out that my utility, Denver Water, has a program where it will test customers' tap water free of charge. It is a new program, and I was the first customer.
