A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
When a decision is to be made in a small community, whether the issue is drinking water, wastewater or solid waste, utility managers and community members must understand not only the facts of the case, but also human nature and societal factors. At North Carolina State University, the Coperative Extension Service has a long history of involvement with small communities that are struggling to reach important decisions. It has developed helpful guidelines for all participants in the decision‐making process. These guidelines are listed in the article.
