Like their counterparts in the public sector, managers of nonprofit agencies are aggressively measuring the outcomes of their efforts. This chapter describes current activities in five important areas, offers thirty useful lessons, and discusses seven key challenges still to be overcome. These insights from the nonprofit sector are equally useful to persons working in other settings.
