The Dallas Water Utilities’ ongoing program of design, construction, and operating procedures geared to conserving energy while making optimum use of available water resources was capped recently by the installation of a computer‐based data acquisition and control system that is expected to increase operational efficiency and decrease power costs by enough to pay for itself in less than five years.
