It's no coincidence that all of this month's articles are identified as being part of the focus topic ‐ International Issues ‐ because there really aren't any topics that aren't of concern worldwide. While it's true that not all opportunities or problems exist at every water utility, water professionals around the globe are always interested in what their counterparts are doing. The subjects covered in this issue ‐ from media coverage of emerging contaminants to an alternative method for reclaiming perchlorate‐contaminated waters ‐ are but a sampling of the myriad issues faced by water purveyors around the world.
