CHLORINATION AND DISINFECTION—STATE OF THE ART
This article reports on progress by the Research Com. on Disinfection and Chlorination. The steadily decreasing quality of raw‐water supplies as a result of increased demand and use, together with the possibility of waterborne transmission of viral diseases, makes it imperative that scientifically sound disinfection practices be more universally adopted. Research on engineering aspects of disinfection is badly needed.
