A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Filtration is not a static process in which a formula can be applied so that safe, high‐quality water is produced. As Gary Logsdon notes in Water Filtration Practices, “… it is a dynamic process [in which] conditions within the filter and quality of the water produced by the filter can change from hour to hour.” This variability makes it necessary to monitor the numerous aspects of filter performance and make adjustments as needed.
