Synthetic adsorbents and activated carbons for water treatment: statistical analyses and interpretations
The second of a two‐part series evaluating alternative adsorbents for removal of trace organics from water supplies, this paper presents a statistical analysis of the comparative data and an interpretation of factors governing the performance characteristics of adsorbents for water treatment applications. The first paper presents an overview and experimental comparisons among eight of the more promising synthetic adsorbents and two reference activated carbons.
