Young Professionals Committee “Fresh Ideas” Poster Session: Students and Young Professionals Speak Out at ACE08
This article discusses the Fresh Ideas poster session at AWWA's Annual Conference and Exposition (ACE). The goals for the session are to get new members involved in AWWA, encourage student and Young Professionals (YP) participation from all areas of the water industry, get section YP and MAC members involved in section conference program activities, stimulate progressive thinking, and reduce the financial hardship for new members who want to attend ACE. The article discusses AWWA section involvement in the poster session, criteria for judging the Fresh Ideas posters at ACE, results from ACE 2008, and the Fresh Ideas poster session for ACE 2009.
