This article recommends a much greater utilization of groundwater resources. The article discusses concerns over the possible depletion of groundwater resources, but concludes that the current rate of depletion of groundwater reserves is so many times less than the rate of depletion of most other natural resources that the nation, at current rates of consumption, will run out of every other nonrenewable resource thousands of years before it will exhaust its groundwater.
