Comparative Disinfection Efficiency of Bromine Chloride and Chlorine for Poliovirus
Prompted by numerous problems connected with the use of chlorine as a water and wastewater disinfectant, experiments were done to compare the disinfection efficiencies of bromine chloride (BrCI) and chlorine. Results point to BrCI as the more effective disinfectant; followup studies now under way are outlined.
