Control of Lead Corrosion
Corrosion passivation is shown to be an effective method of reducing and controlling lead corrosion, particularly in soft water. Adjusting the pH of low alkalinity waters can control corrosion to a limited extent; use of zinc orthophosphate results in no reduction in lead corrosion and may actually increase corrosion.
