The Importance of Communications in Modern Society
This article discusses strategies for improving communications, dealing with significant differences within organizations, and different management theories. The article discusses three strategies for dealing with differences in organizations: working mainly “one to one” between individuals; working with groups and using the group meetings for an information exchange and deemphasizing the problem‐solving and decision‐making roles of the group; and, using groups to work through differences to move toward better solutions and away from win‐lose situations.
