Identifying Adaptive Reuse Potential
Chapter 9 explores the problem of identifying which adaptation opportunities offer the best chance of success. The focus in this chapter is adaptive reuse, how intervention potential can be modelled, and how projects that are likely to succeed can be identified ready for further detailed enquiry. An integrated decision‐making process applicable to individual building projects is outlined and demonstrated. It is shown that some building types have a greater likelihood of success than others, displaying different levels of uncertainty and risk exposure.
