Orange County, Florida: Community and Utility Join in Water Education Event
For one day each year, after countless hours of planning and preparation, hundreds of middle school students in Orange County, Fla., spend the day at the Orlando Science Center learning about, experimenting with, and playing with water. They attend the Touring the Water Facts Festival, a day‐long, hands‐on educational experience focused on seeing the value of water, understanding how what they do affects the environment in which they live, and exploring career options in the water industry. They experience a day in the life of a water professional, environmental scientist, plant operator, field specialist, or computer engineer. Last but not least, this day is about having fun while learning.
