Conducting an Operators' Training and Certification Study
A study of Arizona's water system operator certification program was undertaken to develop guidelines for operator training and to prepare certification examinations that reflect the actual tasks and duties required of operators in the field. Information about training needs and certification procedures was collected from operators and managers. The results of the study were incorporated into a manual prepared for the Arizona Department of Health Services.
