Challenges in Model Development for Estimating Internal Stress of Ceramic Laminates During Sintering
This paper deals with a general theory to estimate the internal stress of each layer during sintering of multi‐layered (multi‐phase) laminate. Sintering strain and thermal expansion strain are collectively called eigen strain, and the internal stress expression can be obtained in general. This formulation can be extended to different constitutive equations such as elasto‐plastic and viscous materials. Discussion is made on the continuous compositional case (viz. functionally gradient materials) also.
