Recent Developments in Thermoplastic Piping
This article discusses the increase in quality of thermoplastic pipe and fittings, and the technical advances that have resulted in acceptance and use of plastic piping. The improvements in thermoplastic piping materials are mostly in better compounding ingredients and the procedures for mixing these ingredients rather than in the base resins, which is the bulk of the plastic composition. The article discusses the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) requirements, along with PPI technical reports.
