While working on some comments for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency a few weeks ago, the question was posed of what we should call ourselves, “drinking water systems,” “community water systems,” “water sector,” or something else? This one question spurred an interesting e‐mail debate/discussion. What we call ourselves is important because words are important. One word change can greatly influence its interpretation.
