Mobilisation of earth pressure
Chapter 15 describes the mobilisation of the earth pressure. First, both the limits of the displacement on reaching the active earth pressure and the limits in the passive state are explained. For both cases, a distinction is made between the three basic types of wall movement. For the active state, the approach of a mobilisation function according to Vogt is presented. The procedure in the passive state is described using the methods by Bartl, Besler and Vogt. The equations for the spatially mobilised passive earth pressure according to Weißenbach are also discussed.
