Determination of the Mobility of Colloidal Particles by Microelectrophoresis
This article provides the information for operational procedures for microelectrophoresis studies which have proven to be most effective in the extensive coagulation investigations in this laboratory. The flat microelectrophoresis cell designed by Briggs is discussed, along with electrical apparatus, the theory of stationary levels, microscope linearity, cleaning of cell and electrodes, cell calibration, preparation of buffer, preparation of blood cells, preparation of electrodes, use of cell, and a typical calculation.
