The Helical Flow Reactor Clarifier: An Innovation in Water Treatment
The helical flow reactor clarifier is a hydraulically driven system designed to form and maintain a rotating, conical‐shaped sludge blanket, through which water would flow upward in an expanding spiral path. This design minimizes the energy input required for the maintenance of a sludge blanket and eliminates the mechanical problems associated with more conventional clarifiers.
