Towards a New Interaction Between Educational Processes and Practices: Faculty of Architecture, Sapienza University of Rome
Recent European directives emphasize the operative component in the architect's training, by strengthening the activity of professional apprenticeship in order to refine the knowledge, skills and abilities acquired in training. The Faculty of Architecture at the Sapienza University of Rome has recently activated a new course of study for a master's degree in “Project and Construction Management of Building Systems,” which has as its specific training objective conferring the completion of specialist training in the area of architecture and construction engineering and management of building systems and processes. The transformation of the demand for new professional figures qualified in the construction sector therefore requires a greater integration within the specialist skills needed in the entire construction process. The master's degree in Construction and Management of Building Systems has the purpose of training a professional figure who is able to operate in the complex management of building processes.
