Pipe Curtain Construction Method for Deep Mine Well Roadway Traversing Fault
A new construction method named pipe curtain using for traversing fault of deep mine roadway was presented in detail. During the pipe curtain method, the pipes connected by shackles were jacked into the surrounding rock, and then the grout injection system in the pipes would grout slurry into the pipe joints and the broken surrounding rocks, which would finally form a curtain around the roadway. In order to further indicate the using effect of this new method, taking the part of traversing fault for conveyor roadway of Guqiao coal mine in Huainan mine area as an example, the deformation characteristics of surrounding rocks were simulated by the finite difference method (FLAC) by both the pipe curtain construction methods and the traditional support methods. Furthermore, the comparison work between the two methods mentioned above was carried out at the same time. The results show that the deformation of surrounding rocks using pipe curtain construction methods is very low and more uniform. Therefore, it can be proposed that using the pipe curtain construction methods would solve the problems during crossing fault such as roof fall and floor heave more effectively.
