Subsidence Prevention Technology of Inspection Chambers on an Urban Road
Failures of inspection chamber in urban road become more and more severe with a fast urbanization in China. Main features of the inspection chamber failure are subsidence and surrounding pavement concrete cracking. Unreasonable material match between the wells and the road structure as well as deficient design are the roots of subsidence of inspection chambers. A subsidence prevention technique and a series of measures are proposed in this paper. All of the measures come from summarized lessons and efficient engineering practices. Meanwhile, the prevention technology requires a perfect management system so as to eliminate failures of inspection chamber in urban road completely.
