The Drainage of the Valley of Mexico
Three years ago, on my return from Paris to Mexico, I had the pleasure of addressing the members of the American Society of Civil Engineers upon the transactions of the celebrated Congress at Paris, on the subject of Interoceanic Canals, at which Congress I had been a delegate from Mexico. Now, during a short visit to the United States, I am asked to give some information in regard to the drainage of the Valley of Mexico, or rather with regard to the different projects that have been or are being more or less put in execution to carry out that great work.
