Calculation and Application of the Retardation Time Spectra of Asphalt
Based on the static creep test and dynamic test of three kinds of asphalt, the creep compliance curves and dynamic compliance curves were obtained, and the viscoelastic properties of asphalt were analyzed. lt is well known that the retardation time spectra of asphalt are critical for viscoelastic functions, all viscoelastic functions belong to the same retardation time spectra. The discrete retardation time spectra were calculated using non-linear regression method according to the data of creep compliances and dynamic compliances. The dynamic compliances of asphalt converted to creep compliances in short time were used to predict creep compliances in long time. The result shows that retardation time spectra can accurately convert static dynamic viscoelastic functions and predict creep characteristic of asphalt.
