This master's thesis examines high-quality public spaces, the principles of their design, and defines the characteristics of high-quality areas, taking into account the urban fabric, and the socioeconomic and environmental context. Public spaces are analysed as a network rather than as individual objects, problems are identified and solutions are proposed. Moreover, the case of a single city is analysed, distinguishing between positive and negative characteristics of its public spaces. After studying the situation and identifying the problems of current public spaces, possible solutions are considered. It is proposed to apply the principle of project continuity and wisely choose the necessary number of attractions so that the area can be fully used and qualitatively fulfil its function.
