The main goal of the research is to study urban public spaces created or revitalized using biophilic principles in foreign countries and Lithuania and to substantiate their applicability in Lithuanian cities (ie to reveal the positive impact of biophilic design on human health, integrate new public spaces into urban fabric and renovate old ones using biophilic design principles). The project intertwines several ideas - biophilia and education. The industrial quarter is being renovated on the basis of the principles of biophilic design, which ensures the natural biological connection of humanity with nature, necessary to maintain human physical and mental well-being, as well as the tradition of art education formed by the art factory „Loftas“. Therefore, the „Loftas“ community center, premises for companies and commerce are being designed. It is an accessible, biophilic, educational oasis with various types of public spaces and two-level paths, which provide an opportunity to get a better overview of the quarter of the artists that has formed here.
