Utilizing the finite element method, the mechanical behaviors of the silicon rubber foam frictional contact with the rigid surfaces under the quasi-static condition was studied in the present work. Based on the multi-scale method, the micro-scale model-the unit cell model was set up and its stress response was investigated, considering the friction between the cell walls. The obtained results in the micro-scale model were implanted into the macro-scale model by the data transferring mechanism. The quasi-static contact of the silicon rubber foam with the rigid surfaces was simulated to analyze the load and structure deformation, considering the friction between the specimen and the rigid surfaces. The simulation data reveal that the friction affects the results quit limited both in the micro-and macro-scale models, and the present results agree with test data well.
