Analysis of ponding of roof system, accounting for interaction of members; restriction imposed on analysis is that structural system must consist essentially of two-way framing; analysis was tested against several cases of roof collapse attributed to ponding; it is shown that most desirable method to preclude effect of ponding is to provide sufficient slope to roof surface along with adequate drainage facilities to prevent accumulation of rainwater.
