Washaway and reconstruction of the Nerbudda bridge on the Great Indian Peninsula railway
Construction of new steel-truss bridge consisting of six 169-ft. through spans and two approach deck spans of 45 ft. 2 in. at each end; main spans are carried on steel trestles; foundations of each trestle are four 12-ft. diam. steel cylinders filled with cement concrete; tests on foundations were made by dropping cannon ball.
