Methods used in erection of 440-ft. through-truss channel span and two-span continuous trusses of Santa Fe River Bridge, crossing Illinois River at Chillicothe, Ill.; part of top chord of old swing span removed to clear bottom of new fixed span; channel span was cantilevered 176 ft. from steel bent on piling to temporary bent on pier of old bridge.
