Laboratory investigation was conducted to study magnetic characteristics and to measure magnetic susceptibility of siderite; all susceptibility measurements were made by method of Gouy on powdered samples and at room temperature; specific susceptibilities of samples from 15 different locations, domestic and foreign, were determined; relation of susceptibility to mineral composition; specific susceptibilities of 76 minerals.
