Overload behavior of pretensioned prestressed concrete I-beams with web reinforcement
Results of ultimate static strength tests on 18 I-beams are presented; principal variables in test program were shear-span-to-effective-depth ratio, which varied between 2.54 and 6.34, and percentage of web reinforcement; beams had oa depth of 18 in, and majority of tests were conducted on shear-span-to-effective-depth ratio of 3.39, for which web reinforcement percentage was varied from 0 to 1.22; behavior of test beams under overloads to failure is discussed in detail.
